Letterkenny Court.

A man who was involved in a minor road accident has admitted to having no tax, NCT or insurance on his vehicle at a recent sitting of Letterkenny District Court.

Zintis Boradkins, 42, with an address at 90 Ballymacool Wood, Letterkenny pleaded guilty to all the offences he was charged with.

Gardaí were called to the scene of a car accident which occurred on the Pearse Road on March 26, 2014.

Mr Boradkins was slightly injured in the accident and was the victim in the actual crash as he was hit from behind.

However, it was discovered he had no tax, NCT or insurance on his vehicle.

The court heard Boradkins had no insurance on the vehicle because he had just recently bought the car and hadn’t sorted out transferring over his insurance to his car.

The court also heard how Boradkins has two children  and is a very hard working man who strives to provide for his family.

He’s had several jobs in the construction industry but is currently unemployed.

The court heard how Mr Boradkins needs his car to be available for work, so he can travel to different construction sites anywhere in the county if a job opportunity came up.

Judge Denis McLaughlin took into account that Mr Boradkins had no previous convictions and fined him €300.
