Percy is getting ready to be swamped with presents for needy families this Christmas.

Percy is getting ready to be swamped with presents for needy families this Christmas.

The hugely successful Presents for Percy Appeal is back for 2014!

The appeal managed by Donegal County Childcare helped 270 local families meet the Christmas requests of approximately 700 children last year.

And now the team at Donegal Childcare aim to match this achievement for Christmas 2014!

Avril McMonagle, Manager of DCCC said the Presents for Percy Appeal has been initiated by the DCCC Team as a practical way of making a contribution to children and families in need of a little extra support at Christmas.

“We have enlisted the help of a number of family support agencies to act as distributors of donations to the Presents for Percy Appeal. Not only will this make a valuable contribution to the work of local agencies working with children and families, it will ensure that all donations are targeted to those most in need of support right across the county’.

If you would like to be a recipient of the appeal, contact DCCC for a full list of family support agencies in your area.

If you would like to donate money to the appeal Cheques/Postal Orders can be made payable to the Presents for Percy Appeal, and sent to Donegal County Childcare, 10-11 St Columba’s Terrace, High Road, Letterkenny. Alternatively, if you would like to make an online banking donation to the Presents for Percy Appeal, the banking details are as follows:

Bank: Bank of Ireland, Ballybofey

A/c No: 9264 8110

Sort Code: 90-47-12

IBAN: IE07 BOFI 9047 1292 6481 10

BIC: BOFI IE2D

Please give your name as the payment reference. Closing date for all donations is Friday 5th December 2014.

The DCCC Team are urging all early childhood services, schools, businesses, parents and children to get behind the Presents for Percy Appeal, to make a real difference to children in your local area. No contribution will be too big or too small!

For more information to either make a donation or to be a recipient of the appeal, please contact Avril McMonagle, DCCC Manager 074 91 23442/086 2431695 or email info@donegalchildcare.com.
