LETTERKENNY GAELSLetterkenny Gaels Club News

Our Club Dinner Dance will be held on the 28th December at The Radisson Hotel. In light of the clubs success this year this should be a memorable and enjoyable night so please get your ticket order in before this Sunday 21st December.

Sean Dunnion, County Chairperson, will be our special guest on the night.

See club Facebook or website for more details.

Our underage football presentation night took place last Saturday at the Glebe. The packed clubroom of children, parents & coaches listened attentively as Michael Murphy passed on his GAA expertise and knowledge to the young Gaels. Full album of pictures can be viewed on the club Facebook.

The GAA National Draw tickets are now on sale and can be purchased from any club member. Along with the prizes listed on the tickets the County Board have also included prizes to the value of €2500 while Gaeil Leitir Ceanainn have included 5 Club Donegal Cards for tickets sold within the club. This is a great fundraiser for the club as all proceeds from the sale of these tickets stays with the club.

Michael Murphy Sports are now stocking a range of club merchandise including jerseys, training tops, hats & scarfs and would make great Christmas presents.

The 2014 Donegal GAA Yearbook is now on sale. This glossy publication gives a comprehensive roundup of all GAA activities for club & county and includes a summary & pictures of Letterkenny Gaels season.

We also have a number of books on Donegal GAA Facts by Fr Sean O Gallchoir. The club has limited copies of each book available and can be purchased by contacting Jim at 086 2271435.

Hard luck to club man Aaron Bradley and his team Tir Chonaill Gaels on their defeat in the All-Ireland club SFC quarter-final in Ruislip at the weekend.

Underage football coaching is finished for the Christmas break and will resume on Friday 6th February for U-6 (6-6.45pm) & U-8 (6.45-7.30pm) in the hall at Woodlands School & U-10 & U-12 is in the Aura from 7.30-8.30pm. New members welcome.

Indoor Camogie training is also finished for the Christmas break. It will be resuming on 26th January. Contact 086 8163605 for information. New players welcome.

Hurling training resumes after the Christmas break on the 5th February. Please contact Dan Harnett 0867392780 or Sharon Harnett 0868405785 to book or for more information.
