There will be no tips or hints.
This week is about one thing.
Spending time with your family and having fun.
If you over indulge, you can get back on track.
If you miss a workout, you can make it up again.
Don’t stress over things.
Don’t alienate yourself from family situations because of dogmatic nutritional advice that tells you something is bad and you cannot have it.
If one week out of 52 is going to ruin everything, you need to find a new way of eating.
If you really have to get a workout in, go for a walk, go for a run, do a short sprint or M.R.T session.
If you want something to really get the sweat going and you want to burn upwards of 900cals, the following workout is just the thing.
I did this last week with my Better Bodies challengers and they loved and hated it all at the same time.
The workout follows the same pattern as the song ‘The 12 days of Christmas’.
It goes as follows.
All you need is an exercise mat. 1) 30 seconds jogging on the spot 2 More Burpees 3 Squat Jumps – jumping 4 lunges – lunging (each leg) 5 prisoner squats – squatting 6 reverse lunges – lunging (each leg) 7 X-body Mountain Climbers – climbing (each leg) 8 Plank to Press – pressing 9 Push ups – pushing 10 Total Body Extensions – extending 11 Jumping Jacks – jumping 12 Burpees – burping How you do the workout is exactly like the song. Do the 1st exercise; Then do the 2nd exercise, then the 1st exercise. Then do the 3rd exercise, then the 2nd, then the 1st. Then 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st and so on until you are going from 12 all the way down to 1.
If you can get through this without stopping, you deserve the extra leg of the turkey.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
I hope you have a great time and when you have over indulged to the point of exhaustion, you can sign up for my 6 week weight loss challenge that starts on January the 5th ☺
Half the places are gone already so don’t leave it too late and miss out.
