Ballyhea Protest Donegal Twn 047The local Cloughaneely branch of Right2Water West Donegal will be gathering at the crossroads Falcarragh on Sunday 28th December at 12 noon in support of ‘Ballyhea Says No to the Bondholder Bailout.’

The Ballyhea Group have been campaigning for 200 weeks now.

The groups’ spokesperson Dermot Flynn said- ”The people were sold out to the vampires and vultures by the government.

“€69.7 billion was the ultimate capital cost to us of bailing out the banks – that amounts to over €15,000 for every woman ,man and child among us.”

Owen Curran chairperson of Right2Water Donegal said ” We see the Water Charges campaign as part of a much bigger struggle ,which also includes the campaign to repudiate the odious bank-debt that has been imposed on the Irish people.

“Our government made it a priority to bailout the bondholders ,while at the same time claiming they did,not have the capital to invest in necessary sewage and water infrastructure. Those were political choices.”

Bring placards and banners to show support for our friends and comrades in Ballyhea. All welcome.
