The Rosses Community School U14 soccer side delivered a superb display to ensure they won the Ulster B title against bitter rivals Pobalscoil Gweedore.
The side completely controlled the game from start to finish and delivered an accomplished and mature performance which cemented their place in an All-Ireland semi-final.
A quick brace from Dylan Boyle inflicted the brunt of the damage for Gweedore, and in truth they never fully recovered from that blistering start made by the Rosses men.
Rosses got off to a perfect start with a Dylan Boyle brace inside the opening 12 minutes after excellent work from Michael McFadden.
The team worked hard throughout the first half against a tough breeze and their team spirit was clearly evident throughout.
Before half-time a fine solo goal from Marc Walsh put the away side 3-0 up.
The second half was a tight affair and good work from all 11 players kept the game under control. Gweedore stuck at it, and 2 minutes from time got a consolation goal, from a well organised set piece.
Rosses now progress to the semi-final of the All-Ireland where they await the winners from either Leinster, Connacht and Munster.Tags:
