ALL COUNTY LEAGUE DIVISION 1
Naomh Conaill 2-12 Malin 0-14. Malin were defeated last Saturday in away match in Glenties. The team had a good first half performance with the some great point taking from the likes of Matthew Byrne and Seamus Doherty, along with a couple of well pointed frees by Anthony Kelly.
The half time score read Naomh Conaill 1-02 Malin 0-10 , unfortunately the second half didn’t go as well with the team only managing four points. The team on the evening was Darragh McLaughlin, Gary Farren, Damien Harkin, John Gerard McLaughlin, Paul McLaughlin, Charles Byrne, Michael McLaughlin, Dan McDaid, Anthony Kelly, Darren Mullarkey, Matthew Byrne, Christopher McLaughlin, Seamus Doherty, Terence Doherty and Stephen McLaughlin. Subs used Michael Byrne for Christopher McLaughlin. The reserves had no game, they drew with Steelstown last Wednesday in the Philadelphia Cup in Muff in what was a very entertaining game. The final score was Malin 2-16 Steelstown 3-13. They were two points up going into the last two minutes of the game but Steelstown caught them off guard with a goal, putting the boys a point behind but they managed to get a draw with a last minute point and force a replay this Wednesday. They had some great performances from Michael McLaughlin, Connor McColgan, Christopher Doherty, Noel McLaughlin and Jason Doherty.
