SOCCER: Finn Harps welcome Cobh Ramblers to Finn Park tonight knowing a victory will put them back on top of the First Division.
Wexford Youths were scheduled to play UCD on Sunday – but that game has now been postponed due to the students Europa League commitments.
So if Harps can defeat Cobh tonight it will them send them one point clear at the top of the table for at least a week.
Harps are looking to record three successive victories on the bounce if they can overcome Stephen Henderson’s plucky Cobh Ramblers outfit.
Harps had lost three games on the bounce – but have responded superbly by recording consecutive wins over Cabinteely and Waterford.
Harps will be without Keith Cowan who is heading to Italy to get married, while Tommy McMonagle is a doubt after he limped off with an ankle complaint in last weekend’s victory over Waterford.
Apart from that Ollie Horgan should have a fully fit squad to choose from as Harps look to return to the top of the table.
Kick-off at Finn Park is at 8pm and a big crowd is expected to turn up to hopefully see Harps go back to the top of the table.
We’ll have a full-match report on all the action at Finn Park later this evening.
