GAA NEWS: GLENSWILLY TO HOST FIRST AID COURSE THIS WEEKEND

GLENSWILLY GAA CLUB NOTES

Dinner dance

The club’s annual dinner dance takes place in the Station House Hotel on Saturday, January 30th next. Tickets will be available soon and can be booked by contacting club treasurer Bryan Faul. Music is by The Cufflinks and the night starts at 8pm.

Congrats

Congratulations to clubman Michael Murphy on making his 100th senior appearance for Donegal on Sunday last against Down at MacCumhaill Park in the Dr McKenna Cup. At just 26, not many inter-county players can boast such a record. Congratulations Michael and here’s to the next 100 games!

First Aid Course

The club is holding a first aid course this Saturday form 10am until 3pm. Anyone interested in undertaking the course should contact the health and wellbeing officer Elaine McFadden.

DONEGAL SEASON TICKET & CLUB PLUS CARD FOR 2016

The club is encouraging members to apply now for a season ticket now if interested. The ticket costs €200 but €100 of this will go back to our club.

The ticket will entitle purchasers to – All Adult Club Games within the control of Donegal GAA (Not eligible for games at U18 Grade & Lower), All National League Games for your County, 1st Round of the Ulster Championship, Option to purchase tickets for the Championship as your county progresses, Option to purchase All Ireland Final Ticket should your county have qualified No Attendance Record Required.

From each €200 Club Plus Card purchased Clubs will receive a rebate of €100 against their club levies on each Club Plus Card sold.The purchaser must choose the club from the dropdown menu. The rebate will be payable to the club once verified by Croke Park.

Senior Clubs 65 members

Intermediate clubs 55 members

Junior Clubs 45 members

For Season ticket Holders who have already renewed but may now wish to get a Club + Card there is a process where their Season Ticket can be cancelled & they can then purchase a Club + Card.

LOTTO

Last week’s lotto numbers were 5,7,12 and 14. Adrian Browne from Newbrook, Letterkenny matched 3. Next weeks jackpot is €1800 and sellers are Gary McDaid and Gary McFadden.

Lotto sellers for the month of January are as follows: Jan 2nd Gary McDaid and Gary McFadden , Jan 9th Neil Gallagher and Kealan McFadden, Jan 16th Ciaran Gallagher and Paul McCool, Jan 23rd John McFadden and Darren McGinely, Jan 30th Joe Gibbons and Michael Canning. Yearbooks

There are a few Donegal Yearbooks left and can be purchased by contacting either Bryan Faul or Peter McConnell.

Bingo

The first bingo session of 2016 takes places in the hall this Wednesday with 3 chances of
winning €500 in a New Year Bingo special. The bingo starts at 9pm but players are advised to get their early. The club would like to thank all who play the bingo each week.
