Finn Harps have expressed their delight following the return of Sean Houston to Finn Park for the forthcoming Premier Division campaign.

Houston made his LOI bow at Finn Park in 2009, but left halfway through that season to participate in a soccer scholarship programme at UCD.

He left UCD after one season and played for Bray Wanderers – it was at the Carlisle Grounds were Houston enjoyed his best spell.

He made over sixty league appearances for Bray – and scored six goals before opting to sign for Derry City in 2013.

Houston left Derry at the end of last season and wasn’t offered a new deal by new manager Kenny Shiels.

Ollie Horgan moved swiftly and acquired the signature of Houston who will bring plenty of Premier Division experience to Harps.

Ollie Horgan told FinnHarps.com, “I think everyone at Finn Park will be very pleased Sean is returning to the club.

He has gathered considerable experience at Premier level since he was last here so Sean will have a good idea of what challenges lie ahead for us this season.

We still have work to do on the recruitment side of things but Sean coming on board is another step in the right direction.”
