DSC_0001Mayo captain Keith Higgins took time out from his busy schedule to take part in a Bank of Ireland sponsored training session for Coláiste Ailigh’s Under 14 boys and girls football teams.

Higgins spent the afternoon with the students and went through numerous training drills with them in addition to holding a question and answer session at the end of the workout.

He congratulated the boys in doing well in the County Championship and wished the girls luck when their next match takes place in a few weeks. Higgins also remarked on the fabulous facilities available to the students during his visit to the school.

The school has had a relatively successful season so far with the Under 16 team reaching the County Final several weeks ago while the Under 18’s play in the quarter-final of the Ward Cup against St. Mary’s of Limavady on Friday the 12th of February in Celtic Park, Derry. Throw in to be confirmed.
