DONEGAL DAILY CONFIRMS CORONATION STREET PET SCHMEICHEL IS ALIVE AND WELL!

Schmeichel Murphy doesn't exist. :(

Schmeichel Murphy doesn’t exist. 🙁

Donegal Daily attempts to locate Schmeichel Murphy, the dog reported missing by Eunan Diver yesterday have unfortunately been unsuccessful!

The reason is because there is no dog called Schmeichel Murphy roaming the streets and we’ve been conned! 🙂

Cheeky prankster Eunan Diver and his brother Ciaran reported a dog by the name of Schmeichel Murphy missing from the Letterkenny area.

They were very, very worried about his safety and were desperate to have him returned!

However, some Donegal Daily readers were quick to point out that Schmeichel in the photo we shared of him – was very much like Schmeichel, Kirk’s pet dog in UK soap Coronation Street!

You’d think the cobbled streets would’ve been a giveaway for us, but no we bought it hook, line and sinker.

We still wish there was a dog called that though, because it’s a great name.

Well played lads, well played.
