GLENSWILY GAA CLUB NOTES

Scor

There will be a coach travelling to the Ulster Scor Senior final on Saturday leaving Glenswilly around lunchtime. Please let Sharon McGinty know if you are interested in travelling on the coach to support our two acts who have made history for the club in reaching the Ulster Final. Cost of coach is €10.

What a night it was for Glenswilly in Glenullin, Co Derry last weekend in the semi-final and again a huge congratulations to both Lisa O’Donnell (recitation) and the Leiriu Staiste group.

Draw

The winners of the national club draw prize from the club were Maureen McFadden of Trankeel, Stephen McDaid of Glenkeeragh and Robbie Sweeney of Bomany. They all won €100 each. Tickets have now been sent to Croke Park for the national draw which takes place on 11th March.

Summer camp

Subject to club approval and availability of volunteers, it is hoped that the summer camp will run during the first week in August.

All adult and teenage helpers MUST have Garda Vetting through the club.

If you are attending the club registration evening vetting forms are available there for return to club. Alternatively, contact Ann Marie McDaid, Child Protection officer.
Guest Tea

A Guest Tea will take place on Friday 4th March in the clubhouse. All proceeds to club funds. There are still tables available! Each table seats just eight people so it is not a huge commitment.

Parents and players are encouraged to take or share a table. Volunteers also needed to help with hall preparation, Car Parking, clean up etc.

Contact Bernie Lapsley, Pauline Carberry or Deirdre McDaid.

There will now be another chance to register with the club this Friday, February 19th between 7 and 9pm in the clubhouse. An adult membership plus a yearly lotto will costs €70 while a yearly lotto costs €50. On the night Garda vetting forms will also be made available. Any adults who comes into contact with children bet that in training or at games MUST be Garda vetted.

The boys U14s team has started training again. Players are reminded that training will take place in the hall on Fridays from 7-8pm (please bring €1 subs) and on Mondays in the Aura Centre from 7-8pm (€2 subs). Players will be sent a reminder text.
