Our u18 girls suffered heartbreak when they lost 1-0 to Castlebar Celtic in the WFAI cup final in Mc Sharry Pk, Sligo. In a close fought game an early goal by Megan Dever proved decisive. It was tough luck on the girls but with the majority of the squad still underage next year they gave a good account of themselves. Our men’s team earned three vital points with a 2-1 win at home to Gweedore Utd. Kevin Kelly and Chris Toner were the scorers. We are top with a point lead over Convoy Arsenal whom we meet in Convoy next Sunday at 2.00pm. This will now be a huge game for both clubs. Our u16′ s are also top of their league after an 8-0 win over Ballybofey Utd. Liam Kenny(3), Nick Mc Laughlin (2), Matthew Woods, Jack Parke and Shane Bonner were the scorers. Our u14’s lost 3-1 to Fintown with Darragh Rodgers scoring. Our U12a’s lost 2-1 in a friendly away to Cockhill Celtic, Faolan Gibson the scorer. our u12 Reserves had another good win, coming out on top 4-1 v Ballybofey Colts. Goal machine Matthew Peoples scored all four. In our weekly lotto the numbers drawn were 14,25,23 and 24. Nine people had two numbers with Noeleen Parkinson drawn out and winning E50. Next week’s jackpot is E6400.
