untitled (1374)

Lotto winning numbers for the 15/03/16 are 1-8-3-5-6-7-4-2.                                                                                          Fr. Sharkey matched 3 numbers and wins €60.00. Jackpot for 22/03/16 is €2950

Minor Board: Under age training: Training Wednesdays U8 6.00pm- 7.00pm and U10 7.00pm – 8.00pm.                                                            Thursdays, under 12, under 13 & under 14 Boys 6.15pm to 7.15pm.

Our U15 boys will play Glenswilly in the Gaeltacht next Tuesday the 22nd of March in Glenfin. Throw in at 5.30pm. Minor Boys are at home to Convoy on Sunday the 27th at 12.00 noon.

Ladies: Minor Training Wednesday 8pm to 9pm. Well done to Katie Long and Danielle McGinley who are part of the Donegal U14 teams that won the Ulster Blitz on Saturday the 12th March.                                                       Our senior ladies are scheduled to play Milford in the Gaeltacht on Good Friday at home. Time TBC.

Handball: Handball training for all National schools will take a break now until Monday the 4th of April.

Our seniors and reserves got the league campaign off the ground against McCools in McCool Park on Sunday. In the reserve game McCools were just that bit stronger all over the pitch and win the game fairly comfortably in the end. Glenfin tried hard and were only 5 point down at half time but a goal and two points inside the first five minutes of the second half for Mcools killed the game off as a contest. Final score McCools 2.12 Glenfin 03. Glenfin Scores were Ross McDermot 02 and Paul Bonner 01.

In the senior game McCool were more efficient with their chances and ran out winners on a score line of 2.13 to 07. This game should have been much closer if Glenfin had made better use of their chances. McCools got the perfect start with a goal in the first minute and although Glenfin created plenty of chances to level things up they couldn’t convert their efforts into scores. Half time score McCools 1.07 Glenfin 04. In the second half it was much the same and a second McCools goal with just minutes remaining left McCools in command. Glenfin will be disappointed because they were better that the score suggests and with a good few men to come back from injury they have plenty to be positive about. Glenfin scores were Paddy O Connor 03, Jason Morrow 02, Kevin McGlynn and Daniel McGlynn 01 each.

Next up for the Seniors and Reserves are Malin in the league at home on Monday the 28th at 1.30pm and 3.00pm.

Any team manager or club member wishing to include information in the club notes can do so by sending it to seamusward61@gmail.com or texting 0872052481.
