LETTERKENNY AMONG FIRST TEN TOWNS TO GET SUPER-FAST BROADBAND

unnamed-258A unique link-up between two of Ireland’s leading businesses is set to bring improved broadband across Letterkenny in the coning months.

The Cathedral Town has been chosen as one of the first ten towns across Ireland to receive the high-speed capacity.

SIRO is an ESB/Vodafone Joint Venture company which is building Ireland’s first 100% fibre-to-the-building broadband network.

SIRO will offer 1 gigabit speeds to 500,000 premises in fifty regional towns.

The launch of SIRO will take place in Letterkenny’s Public Services Centre on Friday, April 15th.

The event will be attended by Cllr. Ciaran Brogan (Cathaoirleach, Donegal County Council), Deputy Joe McHugh TD (Minister of State with Special Responsibility for Gaeltacht Affairs and Natural Resources), John Bowe (President, Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce) andSean Atkinson (CEO, SIRO).
