Div 2 League***

Rinne na sinsir an turas go Tamhnach a’ tSalainn tráthnóna Dé Sathairn agus fuair said an bhuaidh ar Naomh Náille 1-14|0-11. Ní raibh mórán idir na foirne go dtí na bomaití deireannacha. Cuireadh an cluiche idir na foirne tacaíochta ar athló. Tá an dá fhoireann ag imirt as baile in  éadan Gleann Fhinne ar an Domhnach seo (17ú Aibreán)  – 1:30 agus 3:00.

Cloughaneely travelled to play St Nauls on Saturday evening last. The reserve game was cancelled a couple of hours before throw in. The senior game went ahead in what was a neck and neck encounter. Cloughaneely came out eventual winners with a final score of 1-14|0-11. Great start to the league campaign for the lads with 3 wins out of 3!

***Senior Ladies***

Senior ladies got off to a great start winning their first league game of the season against Killybegs at home on Sunday last. Final score was 9-10 to 0-4. Next game is away to Naomh Mhuire on Sunday 17th. Training continues at 7:00 pm on Wednesday.

***Minors*** Our minors played Fanad at home on Wednesday evening (April 6th) and unfortunately succumbed to a 1 point defeat. Yet again the lads work effort is to be commended as they came back from 13 pts down at half time to within 1 point of a strong Fanad side. Final Score: CCF 3-9 | Fanad Gales 3-10

***U-14 Boys***

U-14’s faced the challenge of a strong St.Eunans side last Friday evening in O’Donnell park. The lads, as per usual, put in a strong performance and played tirelessly until the final whistle. The lads were very unfortunate to be defeated by a very narrow margin of 4-8 t 3-7!

***100 Club Winners***

Congratulations to the following winners for February & March!

February: €500 – Bridie Sweeney  €100 – Paddy Brogan, John McGinley Buss, Shaun McClafferty, Paul Sweeney, Michael Geaney.

The club wishes to extend it’s sympathies to the wife, children, family and friends of Michael Carr. We keep them all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Ar dheis lámh Dé go raibh a anam. R.I.P.

***Best wishes***

The club would like to extend their well wishes to Garda Sergeant Martin Rochford on his retirement.Sergeant Rochford was always ready to assist the club in any way possible and we are indebted to him for that. We hope he has a long, healthy and happy retirement and wish him and his family all the best!
