BEAUTY: Miss Donegal are on the lookout for applicants for the regional Grand Final which will be held next month at The Station House Hotel.

So far, organisers of the event have selected thirty-five girls, but they need fifteen more.

Fifty girls will compete at the star studded bash for a chance to represent Donegal at Miss Ireland.

This year, the glitzy event will be run in association with hugely popular hair and make-up salon G&G.

G&G is owned by Aoibheann Walsh, and her sister Dearbhla Walsh represented Northern Ireland at Miss Earth last year.

Their brother Davitt Walsh is also helping to host the event and he will be Master of Ceremonies on the night.

Davitt Walsh told Donegal Daily, “We’ve had a fantastic response so far, but we’re still seeking applications for the Regional Final.

“We want to have fifty participants, so if you’re interested then send us your application now!

Girls aged between 17 and 25 years of age who hold an Irish passport or are eligible to hold one can apply.

Davitt added, “The closing date is April 29th, and the event will take place on May 13th – application forms are available by emailing the following address – missdonegal2016@gmail.com

“The lucky girl who is chosen as Miss Donegal 2016 shall represent the county at the prestigious Miss Ireland 2016. – and if successful will represent her country at the prestigious Miss World 2016 competition.”
