GIVEN BEATEN FOUR TIMES ON STOKE DEBUT BUT HE COULD NOW MAKE EURO 2016 SQUAD

shaySHAY Given turns 40 later this week – but it was a different 4-0 on his mind last night as Spurs put four past him as he made his Stoke City debut.

However the Donegal man’s first Premier League start in 12 months could put him back on contention for one of the three available goalkeeping spots in Ireland’s squad for Euro 2016.

Darren Randolph is certain to be in France – leaving Given contending with David Forde and Kieron Westwood for the final two places.

The Lifford man did make some good stops as Spurs ran riot against Stoke last night.

The visitors closed the gap on Leicester to five points with the win.

Harry Kane’s sublime curling finish, his 23rd Premier League goal of the season, set them on their way before Christian Eriksen hit the crossbar.

Dele Alli doubled the lead before he hit a post when it was easier to score.

Kane rolled in the third before Alli’s right-foot volley made it 4-0 to wrap up Spurs’ ninth away win of the season.

Leicester’s final four matches are against Swansea (home), Manchester United (away), Everton (home) and Chelsea (away). Tottenham’s remaining fixtures see them face West Brom (home), Chelsea (away), Southampton (home) and Newcastle (away).
