DONEGAL Airport is to get more funding.
Fine Gael Minister of State Joe McHugh TD, “I welcome today’s announcement that Donegal airport is to be allocated €232,200 for a number of safety and security capital projects.
“This funding is being made available as part of a €1.2m allocation to regional airports around the country, announced by Minister for Transport Tourism and Sport Paschal Donohoe TD this afternoon.
“Today’s announcement follows confirmation received in late 2015 that €226,059 was being made available to Donegal Airport under the Public Policy Remit Core Airport Management Operational Expenditure Subvention (PPPR-O) scheme for 2015.
“I wish to commend the excellent standard of work the staff and team are doing at Donegal Airport, and wish to congratulate them on being voted one of the world’s top 10 scenic airports this year. Today’s news is a welcome development, and will no doubt help to continue the exceptional service being provided by Donegal Airport.”
