There was a great turn-out for the Sunday night bingo at the refurbished club house last Sunday. It continues this Sunday at 8.30pm with a jackpot of €1,550.
The Seniors and Reserves both recorded good victories over neighbours Termon on Sunday and will host St. Michael’s this Sunday at 1:30pm (Res.) and 3pm (Seniors).
The Junior men recorded a good away win over Glenfin in their opening league game last Saturday evening, they host neighbours Glenswilly this Saturday at 6pm.
The Senior Ladies put in a superb performance but lost out narrowly to a strong Glenfin team in the 13-a-side league on Sunday and they have no game this week. Training is on Friday at 7pm.
The Seniors hurlers were free last week and have no game this week.
The Minor boy’s footballers have no game this week due to the Donegal Minor & U17 teams contesting Ulster Finals this weekend. Best of luck to Brian McGeehin who is managing the U17’s and Noel Keaveny who is a mentor on the Minor team. Best of luck also to all our players involved. Both games are in Maghera with the Minor game at 12 noon and the U17’s following at 1:30pm.
The U14 boys Div. 1 football team travelled to Fanad on Monday and recorded a good win. The U14 Dev. Team (U13’s) lost to neighbours Glenswilly. Both teams will now advance to league q-finals that are scheduled for Friday week, April 29th.
Our Minor and U14 hurlers had no games last week, both teams travel to Burt this week with the Minors on Tuesday (19th) and the U14’s on Thursday night.
U16 girls football training is on Tuesday’s between 5:45pm and 7pm. The U12 girls are training on Thursday’s between 6pm and 7pm. New players welcome for U12s and U16s. More coaches and mentors are always welcome across our underage teams. If you have qualified as a ladies coach or just want to help out call Alan on 0862498263.
Best wishes to U16 players Anna Flanagan and Grace Harkin who are in the Donegal U16 squad who take on Derry in Buncrana this Saturday with a place in the Ulster B final at stake.
The U14 girls recorded a comfortable win over Termon in the Park on Tuesday evening to top the North & East Division One. Well done to the players and management. The girls travel to take on Urris this Saturday (throw-in 2pm). Eight members of the team will be in county action for Donegal on Saturday week (April 30) away to Armagh. Three players will be on the Development team and five on the Championship team. The Donegal U14 Championship team need a win to qualify for the Ulster A Final.
The Century Cinemas Sunday Morning Football Academy returns outdoors to O’Donnell Park this Sunday (April 24th) at 11am for all groups. The Ladies board are actively seeking parents who are interested in helping out with the U8 and U10 Academy girls teams this season. Anyone interested should contact Alan O’Connell on 086-249 8263.

Congratulations to the LYIT Ladies on their All-Ireland success last week.
Congratulations also to Letterkenny Rovers on reaching the FAI Intermediate Cup Final that will take place in the Aviva Stadium in mid May after they defeated Ringmahon Rangers on Sunday in their semi-final replay.
