A Donegal man has managed to out’FOX’ the bookies after a small gamble saw him win big.

The man, who has not yet been named, put down a €5 bet at a price of 1,500/1 on Leicester winning the league and scooped a whopping €7,505 for his troubles.

Some fans managed to get incredible odds of 5,000/1 at the start of the season.

The Donegal man’s bet was with local bookmaker Paddy Power and is understood to have been put down after the season had started.

Another Irish punter scooped €90,000 with his cheeky bet on the Foxes to win the premiership.

Ladbrokes’ cunning customer had a lunchtime flutter of just €30 on The Foxes at a whopping price of 3000/1 and last night it was deemed a winner, 9 months later.

Hayley O’Connor of Ladbrokes said: “This is an exceptional result.

“Even we’ll have to high five him for backing Leicester a fortnight into the League and hope he at least gives us a few tips for the Euros when he comes to collect.”
