MOVILLE GAA NEWS: On Saturday evening our Senior men made it three wins from three in the all county league. In a close opening 10 minutes with scores hard to come by it was Moville who game closest with Michael Barr striking the upright after a quick attacking move. The first score of the game for Moville came from from Danny Murphy before Robert Emmets registered two unanswered points. The first goal of game was scored by Robert Emmets Johnny McLaughlin but was quickly cancelled out by a goal from Moville’s Danny Murphy. The first half ended with Robert Emmets adding 3 further points to their tally but Moville kept in touch through 2 converted frees from Ciaran Diver. The half time score was 1-5 to 1-3 in favour of the home side.
At the start of the second half Moville registered the first score through Malachy McDermott but as in the first half Robert Emmets hit back with scoring 1-1 in quick succession and the goal scored by Marcus Curran. Moville quickly got back up the field again and Danny Murphy the man of the moment scored his second goal of the gametophyte leave 2 points between the teams. Moville got level half way through the second half through points from
Diver and Barr. Another converted free from Diver pushed Moville ahead and Murphy added another point to put 2 between the sides. The final 4 scores where shared at 2 a piece with Diver hitting his forth free of the day and super sub Sean O Hare coming on to put the icing on the cake for the visitors by scoring the final score of the day. Final score was 2-08 to 2-10 in Moville’s favour.

Our u8 and u10 girls and boys had a very enjoyable Saturday morning playing against Malin in the first of the Go games. Well done to all involved and as always thanks to all the coaches for their time and effort

Sunday evening all roads lead to Malin where our minor lads took on Muff in the Inishowen minor league final but unfortunately the result didn’t fall our way. The lads put in a gallant effort but two first half goals proved too costly to claw back but credit to the lads in the second half they made a good game of it and kept going to the end. The lads have a few weeks off now before they turn their attention to the county championship.

Our club has been well represented at various levels at county level over the weekend well done to all involved.
Congratulations to our club members on the ladies county senior team who had a great win over Cavan on Saturday past in the division two league semi final. The ladies will now play Westmeath in the league final with a time and venue to be confirmed.
