LETTERKENNY ROVERS FC NEWS: It was an honour for the club to be playing at the Aviva in the FAI intermediate Cup and although we lost on the field to a very good Crumlin side we were very much winners off it during a cup run which has stirred manys an emotion amongst young and not so young alike.

Its a testament to Eamon McConigley and his bunch of fine talented footballers to have reached the Aviva and the boys should be well proud of their achievements which have been phenomenal from the beginning of the season and their efforts have not gone unnoticed by the greater Letterkenny and Donegal public which were out in force in Dublin to cheer them on.

The club would sincerely like to thank those who made the trip to Dublin and those who sent us a large volume of messages of goodwill while we would also like to thank those who offered generous financial support through a number of different avenues.

The Seniors have another big game this Saturday when heading to play Athlone Town in the FAI Senior Cup. kick off is at 745pm. in what is a buy time they conclude their league campaign with a game against Cockhill Celtic next Tuesday.

Our u11s did emerge victorious at the Aviva when winning 2-1 in a halftime game against Crumlin. A good experience for Eddie McGrath and his side and well done to all involved.

Our u14s Champions League ambitions remain on-track after the semi final first leg at Bonagee on Tuesday which ended 2-2. Toki Hassan and Joel Gorman(pen) the scorers there. The return leg is due to be played at Leckview on Tuesday at 730pm. The boys had qualified for the semi finals courtesy of a whopping 7-1 win over Eany Celtic last Thursday with goals from Adam Yissau and Nathan Plumb with two each, Joel Gorman, Sean McGinley and Marty Duffy.
The club would like to wish Gerry Crossan and the Donegal 2003 side all the best in their All Ireland final in Tipperary on Saturday. There is a large number of club players involved in the side and hopefully they will bring the cup home.
