CLG An Clóchan Liath Club News:

B’iad  4, 19, 20 & 24 a huimhireacha a lotto a tarraingíodh ag deireadh na seachtaine agus níor baineadh póta óir an lotto.  Beidh €2500 sa phóta óir don seachtain seo.
Bhain na daoine seo leanas  €20 an ceann: Denis O’Donnell – Brockagh, Kevin Gillespie – Mullaghduff, Gerard Dickey – Burtonport. Darragh Ward – Cronashallog & Alan Rodgers Meenmore.

The seniors played Kilcar at Rosses Park on Sunday. The reserves lost out on a scoreline of 2-06 to 3-06 & the seniors lost 2-10 to 3-15. The two goals coming from Conor Greene, both in the opening 4 minutes of the second half. Boyle’s men, made a great comeback in the second half after scoring only 4 points in the first half. However, a very late 3rd goal by Kilcar killed off the game. It was a great second half, showing lots of courage & spirit by the men to come back into the game & just unfortunate to not get the result.

The ladies played Naomh Coloumba also in Rosses Park on Sunday morning, winning on a fantastic scoreline of 4-11 to 1-07. Well done to all the ladies.

The club hosted an U10 blitz on Saturday morning with Naomh Mhuire & Naomh Conaill. The blitz was highly praised by members & parents alike from the other clubs & wished to thank all at the club for the very warm & inviting reception they received. A special word of thanks to both clubs for travelling to Rosses Park & also to all involved, who made the day what is was! Thank you!

Both Dungloe & Kilcar teams lined out for a minutes silence to pay their respects to former GAA president Joe McDonagh & two fantastic club stalwarts Brian Manus O’Donnell & Eamon Martin before the Senior game on Sunday. From all at the club we would like to offer our deepest sympathies with the families.

Best wishes to the U14 hurlers had a great win ahead of this week’s league semi final against Aodh Rua this Thursday at 7pm in Ballyshannon, were a win will give the lads a chance to retain their U14 league title.

Best of luck to Mark Curran & Ryan Connors who start their bid for Ulster with the county minors V Antrim in the championship on Sunday.

The clubs Euros fundraiser which is being run by our club members is still on going for anyone wanting to join. It will put your football knowledge to the test as well as an opportunity to win some very worthwhile prizes! You can enter via the following:
In person – just ask any player or committee member for an entry form. You can also give your entry fee to the players/committee member along with your entry form
