GOLF NEWS: Last weekend was a busy one for Otway members, in particular Peter Friel who made a big contribution to the minor league’s 2 matches out of 5 win in Murvagh GC on Saturday, and followed up on Sunday with victory in the Fort Royal Cup, with second place going to Shaun Duffy.
This weekend is even bigger with Thomas Merrit’s captain’s day on Saturday, to be followed on Sunday by the second leg of the match against Murvagh.
With slow play becoming an issue in a lot of golf courses these days, members are asked to keep things moving on the course, keep the chat off the tee box and onto the fairways, and not when it’s time for any member of the group to play their shot.
Cards should never be marked on the green, but instead on the next tee box.
Hopefully the fine weather will remain, so that members and visitors alike can enjoy Thomas’s big day, and night !Timesheet hereunder.
