Darly refuses to leave the chair of her now deceased owner.

APPEAL: An appeal has been launched to help find a dog whose elderly owner passed away a new home.

The beautiful Labrador dog named ‘Darly’ refuses to leave the chair formerly occupied by her owner, as she is still expecting her owner to come home.

Unfortunately, there is nobody to look after Darly, and an appeal has been launched online to help her find a new home.

Darly is nine years old, and is currently being cared for by a neighbour – but Burtonport Animal Rescue Centre put out the following appeal via their Facebook timeline.

“Darly is a 9 year old lab mix, looking for a loving home, she is still living in the family home alone, being cared for by her neighbor.

“Her elderly owner died, and she doesnt want to leave her chair she is waiting for her owner to come home but unfortunately that isnt going to happen.

“She is very sweet, friendly girl and loves to go for walks on her lead Darly is spayed and a little overweight.

“Unfortunately Darly is not good at travelling so we need to find her somewhere close here.

“If you would like to offer Darly a loving forever home please phone 0860762228 / 0863519095

“Darly is not in the care of BAR but we ask can you please share.
