HOME CLASH AGAINST LONGFORD IF DONEGAL FAIL TO OVERCOME MONAGHAN

GAA: Donegal will host Longford at Mac Cumhaill Park – should they fail to overcome Monaghan in the Ulster SFC semi-final replay on Saturday night.

Donegal and Monaghan served up a thrilling clash on Saturday evening in what has been dubbed the best game of the championship so far.

Donegal looked like they had done enough when Christy Toye fired over late into injury-time, but Monaghan hit back through their talisman Conor McManus.

That means the two sides will have to do it all over again on Saturday night at Kingspan Breffni Park.

However, whoever is the wrong side of Saturday’s match will host Longford in the next round of the qualifiers.

Donegal will be hoping they can book their place in the Ulster SFC final, and avoid the qualifier route.

Rory Gallagher’s side were the better side last Saturday night, and will be confident they can overcome their foes from The Farney County.

The fixture will take place on the weekend of July 9-10.

Confirmation of venues, times and all dates for the fixtures will be confirmed by the CCCC later today.
