Well done to Donegal Seniors on their win against Monaghan and especially to our own Darach O’Connor and Caolan McGonigle who are part of the Donegal squad.

U-16 Hurling News:

The U16 hurlers opened their league campaign in convincing fashion with a win over neighbours Burt. Buncrana were in control of the game from the throw in, a combination of a tight defense and some well taken scores insured the opening win.
On Thursday last Dungloe/Gweedore were visitors for round 2 of the league, Buncrana were up against a physical Rosses side but weren’t found wanting. The game was played atrocious weather conditions which didn’t help the standard of hurling, but another convincing win was recorded.
This squad have started the league well and have a few players to come back from injury and competition for places will be fierce.

This week is a landmark week for 4 of this squad as they head to Jordanstown, Belfast to take part in the Ulster elite hurling academy. Niall O Doherty, Oisin (roe) Doherty,John Vaughan and Arran Craig were selected. The management would like to wish the boys all the best, they will at the end of this process represent Ulster in an Inter Provincial against Connacht select.
