Brilliant ‘second coming’ sees Donegal Minors Through

A brilliant second half display by Donegal’s minor team has seen them book their All-Ireland semi-final spot.

Sean Paul Barrett’s team looked like they could be in trouble against Cork in the first half of this game at Croke Park.

They trailed by four points with the rebels looking to go on and finish the game.

But the Donegal lads managed to turn the game completely on its head and ran out six point winners on a scoreline of 2-13 to 0-13.

Goals from Jason McGee and Shane McGrath proved the difference but it was an overall team performance in the second half which proved the key.

Donegal trailed the Rebels at the interval on a scoreline of 0-10 to 1-3 with McGee getting the al important goal to keep Donegal with any hope.

Some clever substitutions from the sideline spurred this Donegal team on as the latched on point after point with the two goals proving the difference between the sides.

They now face Galway in the semi-final.

Can the senior team go on and emulate their minor side who have done terrifically well here at Croke Park?

All will be revealed shortly as Donegal line out against Cork with the prize being place in the Al-Ireland quarter final.

Come on Donegal!
