Gardai Investigate Satanic Attacks At Donegal Churches

Gardai are investigating ‘satanic’ attacks at three Donegal churches in recent days.

The three churches, all in Inishowen, had the numbers ‘666’ written onto altar clothes along with static symbols of triangles inside circles.

The attacks on the churches in Moville, Malin and Bocan, are all believed to have taken place on Sunday afternoon.

Rev Dr Jimmy McGrory, curate of Bocan, confirmed to the Inishowen Independent, that his sacristan was shocked to find the graffiti on Monday morning last.

He confirmed the matter had been reported to Gardai.

He said “We’ve never had anything like this happen in Culdaff before. While I’m not unduly worried, I would urge anyone not to approach people they see hanging around the church. You just don’t know what might happen these days.”

Rev McGrory also said that he had informed his parishioners of the attack saying he believed he had to be open with people.

He confirmed that Gardai from Carndonagh had visited the scene and were investigating the matter.
