Can you beat ‘The Kube’? Church launches unique fundraiser

FUNDRAISER: A unique fundraiser has been launched in order to help with reparation works required by a local church.

St Columba’s Church, Acres, Burtonport need financial assistance in order to help repair all of the windows in the church.

Local businesses and individuals have rowed in behind the event which see contestants compete to beat ‘The Kube’ in an attempt to win €1,000.

The cost of entry is €100, and local businesses are sponsoring locals to participate in the event.

The Lobster Pot have entered Eamon Kelly and employee Zaria Boyle, while TD Pat ‘The Cope’ Gallagher has sponsored former boxer Christopher Walsh.

The event will take place at The Waterfront Hotel, on Friday, September 9th.
