Bookies write off Harps ahead of North-West derby with Derry

FOOTBALL: The bookmakers have written off Finn Harps ahead of their massive North-West derby clash with Derry City at Finn Park (KO 8pm)

Harps are generous 7/2 odds with Paddy Power bookmakers!

But everybody knows that form goes out the window when it’s derby day!

Harps have suffered three defeats on the spin against Bray, Wexford and Bohemians, but are undefeated against Derry this term.

An opening day 2-1 win sealed a first league victory in over a decade – goals from Dave Scully and Nathan Boyle ensured a famous win.

The teams served up a cracker in May at The Brandywell, Harps led 1-0 but trailed 2-1 as the clock ticked into injury-time.

However, a stunning header from Sean Houston secured a share of the spoils for Harps.

Tonight, a massive crowd is expected to descend on Finn Park for the final derby of the season, and Harps are hoping they can go unbeaten for the entire season against Derry.

Ollie Horgan’s side will be keen to end their recent bad run of form, and there’s no better way to do it, than to do it against your most bitter rivals!

It should be a cracker, don’t miss it!
