Golden Eagle gets too close for comfort with Moville man

Enda Craig sent in this amazing photograph of a golden eagle being a little bit over-friendly as the magnificent bird decided to perch on his handler’s head!

The massive birds are incredibly rare in Ireland, although a few are known to hang out at Glenveagh National Park!

Alas, this one is not part of the reintroduction programme spearheaded by Lorcan O’Toole.

Enda joked about how we should send a few to the Dáil to carry away a few politicians! “Holding a competition shortly on where we want them dropped”.
