All-Ireland MFC semi-final: Donegal are trailing Galway by four points at half-time in their All-Ireland MFC semi-final at Croke Park.

Galway corner-forward Robert Finnerty has been exceptional and he has scored 1-04 in the opening half.

He netted after six minutes when Donegal’s defence failed to deal with a long direct ball inside.

Finnerty made no mistake and expertly dispatched his effort, that score has been the difference between the two sides.

Niall O’Donnell has been impressive for SP Barrett’s side, as has Eoghan McGettigan, but many of his side have underperformed thus far.

Galway led by five points at one stage, but points from McGee and Boyle reduced the deficit to three points as the side headed towards the dressings for the interval.

Donegal have been in this position before, and trailed Cork at half-time in their All-Ireland quarter-final last time out.

Half time: Donegal 0-06 Galway 1-06
