GAA News: Glenfin ladies secure 5 goal victory over Four Masters!

Senior Ladies Football

Senior ladies had a great victory in the senior championship semi-final against Four Masters. They won on a score of 5.14 to 04. This was a great team performance with the scores coming from 8 different players.

Glenfin team: Faith Harkin – Diane McGlynn – Sinead McGinty – Ann Marie McGlynn – Mary Martin – Katy Herron – Jessica Martin – Karen Guthrie – Grainne Houston – Aine Ward – Colene McGrath – Kathy Ward – Rosin Moy – Yvonne McMonagle – Karen Ward – Subs: Maggie Farley – Gemma Glakin – Laura McKenna – Rachel Ward – Sinead Doherty – Ciara Ward – Catherine Browne. This sees them through to the ladies senior championship final which is fixed for next Sunday the 4 th of September. Time and venue TBC.

 

Lotto

Lotto winning numbers for 23/08/2016 are 2-5- 6-3- 8-4- 1-7.

Gerard McCool, Ciaran Moy and Francis McHugh Milford matched 3 numbers and won €20.00 each. Jackpot for the 30/08/08/2016 is €4100.00.

 

Minor Board:

U13

Hard luck to the U13 boys who lost in a great game to Cloughaneely at home on Friday evening last Their next game is away to Gweedore on Wednesday evening. The U13 girls start their competition next Saturday the 3 rd of September. Time and venue TBC

 

U16

Well done to the U16 boys who won the Division 3 title on Monday night last. They beat Naomh Colmcille by 4.07 to 3.06.

Hard luck to the U18 Girls who lost out to Fanad Gaels in a tough battle on Tuesday evening in Glenfin

 

 

 

Senior Men Football

Our seniors and reserves lost out to Mc Cools in the second group game on Saturday last in McCool Park. The reserves lost on a score of 2.07 to 08 and the seniors lost on a score of 3.16 to 1.09. Both teams are away to Malin in the final group game next Sunday the 4 th . The reserve game is a 12.30pm and the seniors at 2.00pm.
