Letterkenny Rovers travel to Cockhill for League Cup clash

Letterkenny FC Club News: Action is well up and running at the club and our seniors will host Swilly Rovers at Leckview on Sunday at 2pm in the second game of their League Cup group. They got their season up and running with a trip to Cockhill Celtic on Wednesday night ( Aug 31st).

The seniors finalised their prep for both games with a 0-0 friendly draw with Rathmullan Celtic last Thursday evening.

Schoolboy action continues at a fast pace with a number of sides in action last weekend. Our u12s Rovers defeated Ballyraine 7-1 with goals from Josh Patton, Lorcan Harvey, Ben Cassidy(3). Rudi Minnock and Corey McCarron. They are were due to play Swilly on Wednesday evening(Aug 31st) before travelling to Glenea on Saturday morning for a 1030am kickoff.

David Boyle, Adam Yissau, Nathan Plumb, Marty Duffy and Gerard Duffy hit the goals as the u14s Rovers defeated the u14s Crusaders and both sides have trips to play Gweedore this weekend with 1145am kickoffs at Celtic and Utd.

Our u14s United lost out to Keadue 4-3 with goals from Sean Pascual (2) and Paul McGreevy and they are away to Bonagee Athletic on Sunday at 1230pm while our u12s Crusaders defeated Kilmac Academy 3-0 with Mark Bonner hitting a hattrick and they are away to Gweedore Utd on Sunday for a 10am kick off,

Some spots are still available for players born in 2002 and any interest can be communicated through the clubs facebook page or any club personnel.

Tickets for the annual club draw go on sale this week priced at 10 euro and we earnestly request all connected with the club and friends of the club to try and make this a success. All tickets will be co-ordinated through Kieran McGrath and he will be in touch with everyone over the course of the next week to outline matters pertaining to the draw.

This weeks Mini Lotto numbers drawn were 2-9-15 and 18.
5 with 3 correct receive 15 euro each.
Kieran Kelly, Joe Doherty, Paul Holian, Linda Boyce and Kay McDaid the lucky winners.
Next weeks jackpot is 4050 euro.

Bingo continues each Thursday night in the Station House Hotel. at 830pm sharp.
Snowball is 1225 euro on 45 numbers or less.
