To celebrate their first year in business Mavericks Traditional Barbershop at Lower Main Street, Letterkenny decided to give back to the community.

The Mavericks wanted to give back in a way that would benefit people of ever walk, right around Donegal and therefore decide to raise funds for the Friends of Letterkenny Hospital.

To do so they ran a Euros sweepstake and sold out 4 complete draws with 25 teams in each. Entry to the draw was €10 per person. 1 st prize in each draw was €100 cash. 2nd prize in each draw was a Luxury hot towel shave and Traditional hair cut. Also a draw took place for all entries for a hamper.

The details of monies raised are as follows:

4 draws X 25 teams X 10 = €1000

Draw sheets and posters = €121.77

€100 for 1 st prize X 4 = €400

Total remaining = €478.23

Vouchers for €34 for 2 nd prize X 4 = Sponsored by Mavericks

Hamper for overall draw €80 = Sponsored by Mavericks

Facebook add to communicate draw €47 = Sponsored by Mavericks

As we are in a world where it is difficult to walk down the street without being ask to commit to some worthy cause Mavericks decided that one fund raiser was sufficient to mark the year in business and took it upon themselves to do the rest. Mavericks decided to double the monies raised to take it to a grand total of €956.46.

We would like to thank each of our generous customers whom took part in the draw and each of our barbers for not only their efforts in the fund raising but their quality workmanship, service and dedication to Mavericks Barbershop all year. We are confident it will be well spent on equipment for the hospital by the “Friends of Letterkenny Hospital”, info on their current projects is on their website and well worth a read. We hope the above gives clarity on all monies raised and we hope to see you all over the coming weeks and year in Mavericks Traditional Barbershop.
