FOOTBALL: Ballyraine FC will this week announce the establishment of a Goalkeeping academy for its underage footballers. Specialised goalkeeping training will be provided to Ballyraine FC registered players at under 8, 9 and 10 age groups.

The academy will kick off on Thursday 15th September with regular sessions every fortnight complementing the current underage soccer skills programme running at the club.

Enda Nicholls

Letterkenny businessman Enda Nicholls will head up the goalkeeping programme. Enda is a former goalkeeper himself and part of the underage coaching team at Ballyraine FC.

He will be assisted by Nina Singaroyan, a recent recruit to the Ballyraine FC coaching staff.

Nina is the daughter of former Finn Harps manager and Sligo Rovers stalwart Chris Rutherford.

New boys and girls wishing to avail of goalkeeping training should call club registrar Kieran Shiels on (087) 998 4749 regarding registering as a Ballyraine FC player. New boys and girls welcome.
