Letterkenny Ladies come out victorious at Mary McDaid Memorial Competition

On Saturday September 1st the Mary Mc Daid Memorial Cup was played in Portsalon. This competition is played by four teams Portsalon, Rosapena, Otway and Letterkenny.

Accompanying Capt. Jackie Ireland the following ladies made up the Letterkenny challenge.

Marian O Sullivan, Tracey Spence, Anne Cannon, Celine Bradley, Monica Mc Donagh, Cecilia Doran, and Margaret Harvey.
Heartiest congratulations to the winners none other than the Letterkenny Ladies, and well done to the other teams who played in this memorial golfing event.

Healthwise Pharmacy were the sponsors for the 18-hole competition on Tuesday 30th August finishing off a busy month for the Barnhill ladies.

Congratulations to Bridie Gildea coming in first with 37pts. The worthy runner -up with 36 pts(bot) was Cynthia Furey. Close on her heels our super junior golfer Sarah Mc Brearty also on 36 pts. Well done ladies. Many thanks to our generous sponsors Healthwise Pharmacy.

The first competition for the ladies in Sept was the 13-hole played on Thurs Sept 1st. The winner on this occasion was Anne Cannon scoring 28pts. In second was the Junior Captain Mary Beth Mc Brearty with 27pts (bot). Third was Celine Bradley also on 27pts.
Congratulations ladies.

Coming up on Sept 11th is the very popular Past Captains day. The tee times 1.30-2.30. This year along with the usual 18-hole competition there will be a nine-hole competition. Check the notice board for times and other details.

On Thurs 15th Sept there is a Ladies/Gents 9-hole competition in aid of the Donegal Hospice. Book online if you wish to play. Tea/coffee will be served all day in the club meeting room. Should you prefer not to play, you can still join your friends for refreshments. Your support would be much appreciated.
