Up to 30 new jobs will be created in Letterkenny tomorrow with the opening of the Mr Price discount store.

The store will be located at the former McMahons Builders and Providers Store at Ballyraine on the outskirts of the town.

The large premises, which was formerly James Johnston and Sons, has been closed for almost four years.

However the new store is hoping to breath new life into the premises and attract customers through its doors.

Mr Price, which has a number of stores across Ireland, offers household and well-known branded products at discounted prices.

The store will open seven days a week and says it will offer shoppers products at the keenest prices.

The Mr Price group has signed a long-term lease on the 17,000 square foot premises, suggesting it plans to forge a strong business in the Cathedral Town.
