50 Shades of Grey with Patrick Gildea Hairdressing

Ombré and Balayage popularity are continuing in the hair colouring world, we are delighted of course because we absolutely love free hand colouring techniques.

Patrick asked Rachel one of our Master Colour Experts to talk us through the latest Ombre trend – “Gombre” for those of you that like a nickname!

Rachel says “This beautiful hair trend has been going viral lately, you can barely scroll through Instagram or Facebook without seeing some gorgeous grey Ombré locks.

“The summer was all about blush pinks but don’t worry this look can be just as pretty by combining greys and lilacs together the results are stunning.

“The grey trend is perfect for those who want to experiment, it looks really chic, but it tends to suit people with more yellow in their skin tone than red as they can look quite washed out.”

Rachel says although Ombré and Balayage are low maintenance colouring techniques it’s really important that you use the correct home hair care routine. Your stylist will recommend what is best for your colour and for your hair health and don’t underestimate the power of a hydrating treatment when you are colouring your hair!

If you would like to discuss the Grey Ombré/ Balayage look you can book a complimentary consultation with Rachel or one of our Master Colour Experts who will discuss all your options with you.
