*Division 2*
CLG BnaG 4-11 Malin 1-13
Congratulations to Danny, Paul and all the players and management who collected the Division 2 title with a win over Malin yesterday. It was an entertaining game with both teams trying to play quick free flowing football. Malin were preparing for a Senior QF against Dungloe next week and the first half was a tight affair. Na Galloglaigh could possibly have been further ahead at the break but a purple patch for Malin in the last 5 minutes of the first half seen the half time score at 0-8 to 0-7 to the hosts. In the second half however Na Galloglaigh got their purple patch with quick goals from Cathal Mc Gettigan and Luke Barrett stretching their lead. Again though Malin fought back and got a goal themselves to close the gap to just a point before further goals from McGettigan and Darragh Black ended the game as a contest to see Na Galloglaigh run out comfortable winners 4-11 to 1-13. Afterwards captain Paddy Peoples collected the Division 2 trophy from Frankie Doherty and attention now turns to the Intermediate quarter final against Naomh Brid next Saturday. That game has a 4.30pm throw in in Convoy and it would be great to see the fantastic support displayed yesterday repeated next week in Convoy.

*Reserves*
CLG BnaG 5-13 Malin 0-5
Our Reserves eased to a comfortable home win against Malin on Saturday past. Na Galloglaigh raced out of the blocks and got the first score when Paul Sweeney burst through the Malin defence to unleash an unstoppable shot to the top corner. Na Galloglaigh were totally dominant and had 3-5 scored before Malin got off the mark with Marty Doyle getting a brace of goals. Malin did come into the game a bit more and scored 3 points without reply but a 4th goal from Caolan Bolton and further points gave Na Galloglaigh a commanding half time lead of 4-8 to 0-4. The second half was a bit more even affair with scores not as easy to come by. Sub Jamie Whelan scored 1-1 with Paul Fisher, Doyle, Bolton and Enda McHugh all adding to their tallies from the first half. The defence restricted Malin to just 1 point in the 2nd half to record their biggest win of the season. The team are on a good run of form at present winning 5 of their last 6 games and will need to bring this into next Saturdays quarter final against Naomh Columba. Throw in in Convoy is at 3pm and all support would be welcome. Team: Gavin McFadden, Patrick Ferry, Gearoid Horkan, Matthew Stewart, Brandon Toye, Enda McHugh (0-3), Kieran Sheridan, Paul Sweeney (1-0), Kieran Gorman, Dean Burgess, Caolan Bolton (1-1), Ciaran McHugh (0-1), Paul Fisher (0-3), Martin Doyle (2-3), Emmet Conaghan (0-1). Subs: Ryan Ferry for C. McHugh (HT), Odhran Coll and Kieran McLaughlin for Conaghan and Horkan (40m), James Whelan (1-1) and Gary Helferty for Fisher and Burgess (45m), Cormac Friel for Gorman (50m), Paul Grier, Conall McFadden
*Minor Ladies Championship*
Our Minor ladies created their own bit of history on Saturday as they won their first minor county championship title. Since the club was founded in 2007 they have won every underage title apart from minor. They played a very good Convoy side in the county final Saturday in Glenswilly. The first half was a very tight battle with the teams coming in all square at halftime, Na Galloglaigh were the dominant team in the second half with the Convoy keeper making numerous point blank saves to keep them in it, It wasn’t until the last ten minutes that Na Galloglaigh pushed on and got the goals to win the match on a score line of 5-11 to 4-4,This was an excellent team performance with Aisling Irwin, Taylor Doherty, Shauna McBride and Kellyanne Buchanan to the fore but Megan Ryan was by far the best player on the pitch. Scorers on the day were Shauna McBride 2-4, Megan Ryan 2-3, Kellyanne Buchanan 1-2 and team captain Niamh Gallagher 0-2.
*U13s*
CLG 3-12 Gweedore 3-7
Our U13s put in their best performance of the year on Sunday with an impressive 3-12 to 3-7 over Gweedore in Moyle View Park. Na Galloglaigh went in at half 3 points ahead on a score of 0-11 to 1-5, with some excellent points from Eoghan Heimstra & Shane Black. The display by all the players was immense especially the defenders with Jay Curann having his best display all season ably assisted by Liam Donnelly, Paul Ryan, Daragh McFadden and Eoin McElhinney. The 2nd half began brightly with a goal from Shea McBride followed by 2 goals from Shane Black who finished top scorer with 2-7. Rory Pyper and Kyle Burns dominated midfield with alot of running with the ball and excellent defending when needed, Owen McGettigan was commanding in goals, and the work rate of Cillian McBride & Eoghan heimstra was vital in keeping Gweedore at bay, Alec McConigley, Odhran Doherty & Callum Orsi did well when called upon, next up is an away game against Glenfin this Thursday evening and hopefully victory can ensure qualification to the Northern Final
