Letterkenny Ladies golf club notes

Patricia O Sullivan and Anne Cannon were winners of the Matchplay Foursomes, runners-up were Kate Doherty and Karen Mc Glinchey. Many congratulations to both pairs.

The 13-hole competition played onTues 13th Sept was won by Eileen Williamson 24pts, runner-up Capt. Jackie Ireland 23 pts. Well done ladies.

On Hospice day Thurs Sept 15th the ladies club ran a nine-hole competition open to both ladies and gents. Despite the challenging conditions there was a good turn out. Bringing in a great score of 19 pts Veronica Mc Ateer was winner on the day, runner-up Marian O Sullivan 16pts.
The tea room was open all day with generous supply of goodies. Over 800euros was raised by the players and the callers to the clubhouse. A resounding success and a welcome donation for the Hospice. Congratulations to Veronica and Marian.

Charlie Davis donated a lovely veg/fruit hamper which was won by Patricia Mc Laughlin.
Thank you to Charlie and to all who played and contributed on the day, also to all who helped out and produced the fine fare, and to Kay Kelly who directed the proceedings.

Congratulations to Grainne Hines on winning the Past Captains in Portsalon with super 41pts. Well done Grainne.
