As easy as two clicks with Letterkenny Cabs new ‘Taxi Caller’ App

Letterkenny largest Taxi company Letterkenny Cabs are delighted to launch their new customer and driver app on to the market.

The name of the app is “TaxiCaller” and is NOW downloadable for free on the Play Store on all androids.

What this now allows customers to do is book a taxi with 2 clicks of a button without the need to talk to anybody. The main benefit of the app is customers are given the information of how far the taxi is away from you but also view the taxi approaching your pick up point. You can enter your differing needs of transport requirements, for example 5 persons.

Due to the nature of our business being a two sided platform, Letterkenny Cabs require not only the demand side of the business but also the supply side of the business. In regards to this we are offering drivers a month’s free trial of the app.

In regards to the driver app this is also downloadable on the Play Store and the name of the driver app is “TaxiCaller Driver”. A driver downloads the app on a smartphone and ensures that they have data capabilities. Letterkenny Cabs then issue the driver with a login detail and password. They are ready to not only work the customer app but also if they wish work of our dispatch system and cover Letterkenny Cabs overflow of work.

We need drivers to login to the driver app and customers to use the customer app to make this a success, without customers looking for the service or the drivers not offering their service this app will simply not work. Letterkenny Cabs however realise that this is a long term project and will take time to make it a success.

We do not want to worry customers who still want to pick up the phone and speak to a dispatcher. Staff will still be on the other side of the line, this is simply another service that we are offering to customers and drivers.

The app is only the start of modernising how we do take and dispatch calls. With Google maps now being aligned to the post code it will allow when the dispatch system is fully functional that there will no longer be a need to give directions to a house, you will simply be asked for your postcode.

Also things like credit card payments will become available with our new system.

If you would like to know more as a customer or a driver get in touch via our Facebook page or ring 074 91 27000 for more details.
