Tir Chonaill Gaels:

Junior Championship Final

Tir Chonaill Gaels Juniors lost out to Tara in the final of the Championship on Greenford at the weekend in a physical game that was packed with goals. Playing with the breeze the Gaels went in at the break two points up 0-07 to 1-02 and man up following a sending off. A nervy second half saw the Tara’s start the brighter but a Ryan Kearny goal kept the Gaels in the lead. Tara instantly replied with a goal of their own to make it 2-06 to 1-08 mid-way through the second half. Despite a fantastic save from Gavin McEvoy, there was no stopping a further two penalties the final of which proved the winner for Taras. Final score Tara 4-08  Tir Chonaill Gaels 2-11. Congratulations to Paul, his management team and all the players for a tremendous campaign which saw many fine performances over the summer.

Seniors

Congratulations to Lloyd and all the boys for topping the group and booking a semi-final place at the weekend after a commanding 3-16 to 0-08 win over Garryowen at the weekend. Keep an eye out on the website/twitter for further fixture details.
