Final score: Cork City 1-3 Finn Harps

The Finn Harps U19s secured their place in the semi-finals of the FAI National League competition after defeating a highly fancied Cork City side 3-1 at Bishopstown this afternoon.

B.J. Banda’s hat-trick put Joe Boyle’s team on the road to victory.

Those three goals from the young striker who was a late sub in the Harps senior side’s win over Bray Wanderers last night gave the visitors a huge 3-0 half-time advantage.

The hosts did pull a goal back but Harps held on and will now play UCD in the semi-finals of the competition at home in Ballybofey.
