Glenswilly GAA notes

Come on!!

It’s just a few days to the senior championship final as the club prepare to do battle with Kilcar in a bid to claim the Dr Maguire once more. The lads, including the management and backroom team have put in a huge effort this season to get to Sunday’s final, throw-in at MacCumhaill Park is at 4pm. We would like to urge people to get their colours out for the big day and get behind our boys. Flags, bunting, car flags etc are all available from the club treasurer Bryan Faul. Club gear is avialble in Michael Murphy Sports. Only the lads can change things ion the pitch but we can certainly help them on the terraces. Glenswilly abu!

Under 10s

Good luck to the U10s team who are playing at half team in County Final. Who knows – they could be playing in the real final a few years later!

Jiving

Now that winter is kicking in, we’re all looking for ways of passing the long nights and hopefully getting a little bit fitter in the process. It might be a little different but jiving classes which have started on Friday nights at the clubhouse are drawing real crowd and newcomers are welcome all the time.

Bingo

Bingo continues in the hall every Wednesday night starting at 9pm with more than €2,000 in prize-money each night.

Lotto

The winner of last week’s lotto was Dermot Hannigan of Letterkenny. The winning numbers were 7,11,15 and 23. Lottos are available in all local outlets. Please support the lotto each week as it is a major source of the club’s income.

Notes

Anyone wishing to have anything in the club notes each week should send them to stephenwmaguire@gmail.com on Monday evening.
