Late Glenfin rally forces replay with Killybegs in relegation play-off

Our U18 boys are through to the County Division 3 final after they beat Naomh Ultan in the County Semi-final on Sunday in Glenties. This was a very hard fought match and the Glenfin lads showed great character in coming from a point down with minutes left to win by 4 points on a score of 7.06 to 2.17. Glenfin team and scorers: Luke Rader – Martin Doherty – Shane McGinty – Jack Marley – Keelan McMonagle – Darren Marley – Odhran McGlynn 01 – Karl McGlynn – Stephen Carr – Kyle O Meara 4.00 – Matthew McGinley 2.04 – Kian McGlynn 1.00 – Adam Marley01. Subs Used: Ramond Gallagher – Martin Herron. They play Malin in the county final next Sunday the 23rd in Convoy at 2.00pm.

Senior Team

Glenfin and Killybegs will have to do it all over again as their senior A championship regelation playoff game ended in a draw on score of Glenfin 1.11 Killybegs 2.08. Both teams missed chances but Glenfin would probably be the happier as they scored 3 unanswered points in the 23rd. 24th and 28th minute of the second half to tie things up. Glenfin Team and scorers: Liam O Meara – Daniel Harkin – Gary Herron – Martin O Donell – Steven McGlynn – Frank McGlynn – Jason Morrow – Stephen Ward 01 – Michael McGlynn – Daniel McGlynn 01 – Paddy O Connor 02 – Stephen Carr 01 – Conor McBride 03 – Gerard Ward 1.00 – Kevin McGlynn 02. Subs Used: Gary Dorrian 01 – Ciaran Foy.

The replay is fixed for next Saturday the 22nd. Time and venue TBC.

Ladies football
Cumann Peil na mBan Ghleann Fhinne are running a Flower Demonstration in the Villa Rose Hotel on the 25th October 2016 at 8pm. There will be refreshments there on the night. Tickets are €10 and can be bought by contacting Rose on 087 750 2005. All support much appreciated everyone welcome.
