A nationwide search has begun for an Irish man named Cormac after a French woman’s urgent plea.
There’s a chance the sought-after man could be in the county, and if so, it seems as though there’s an important matter at hand.
Known only as Rita, the woman posted on an online forum asking to make contact with a lad she met at the Euros in France this summer.
The couple met in Lyon on June 27th – the night that France played Ireland. At 1am in La Place du Change, Cormac reportedly became separated from his friends and found Rita. It all happened while the merry crowd were having a singsong of Don’t take me home, she said.
Four months have passed since that fateful night, so what could have happened to prompt such a plea?
If there is a Cormac out there whose memories have been stirred, Rita is asking for him to contact her by email. He’s not to worry, she said, as she just wants to “touch base with him about something”.
